During the Zhou Dynasty, the Wu and Yuepeoples inhabited the area and lived similarly to the Liangzhu, withheavy aquaculture and stilt houses, but became increasingly sinicizedthrough contact with northern Chinese states. The Wu and Yue wereancestors of modern Vietnameseand spoke completely different languages from Chinese. They adopted theChinese writing system and created excellent bronze swords. The Chu state from the west (in Hubei) expanded into this area and defeated the Yue state.

下划线部分是不是有点奇怪阿。Wu yue 有千里迢迢跑到越南去吗？还是百越里面别的越跑到那里去了。

我也不清楚，但是可以研究一下。例如在福建西北部有几个地名含na（写成汉字大约是上不下中，字典里找不着，我以前在浙江图书馆地方文献阅览室见过这篇文章，惜乎找不着了。）闽西北还有拿口镇，拿上等含拿字的地名，这个拿和na和岭南的那字头地名一样，这能否说明闽越语和南越语相关呢？还有，我看过二本书皆说诸暨有越语地名，例如步代表码头等等，这些能否研究一下？
